A St. Elizabeth man who was found unconscious hours after he crashed his motorcycle into a cow pen along a section of Bog main road in Westmoreland last Wednesday, May 23, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital over the weekend.
The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Deswick Clarke, also known as ‘Dez’, of Content district in Killmanock, St. Elizabeth.
Reports indicate that last Wednesday morning, Clarke left his home on his red motorcycle and was riding along a section of Bog main road when he encountered a large tree branch lying across the roadway.
Clarke lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a cow pen, rendering him unconscious.
His relatives grew suspicious when he did not arrive home, so they went in search of him and discovered his lifeless body lying in the cow pen.
He was rushed to the Black River Hospital where he was treated and admitted in critical condition, but he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
