ST ELIZABETH, JAMAICA — A farmer from Slipe District in St Elizabeth has been charged after a police raid at his home allegedly uncovered stolen gambling equipment and a quantity of ganja.
Oshane Wilson, also known as “Sevens,” has been charged with unlawful possession of property, possession of ganja, and dealing in ganja.
According to reports, police executed a search warrant at Wilson’s residence, where they discovered a pot of gold poker box machine along with several poker box parts, including monitors, bill acceptors, and circuit boards.
Wilson was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the items, and further investigations revealed that some of the equipment—including a monitor, power supply, bill acceptor receipt, and circuit board—had been reported stolen from a bar in the Pedro Plains area.
During the search, officers also found over one pound of ganja and ganja seeds on the premises.
Wilson was taken into custody and formally charged. Investigations are ongoing.
