A St Catherine taxi operator has been formally charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Portmore last year.
Authorities identified the accused as 33-year-old Lloyd Armstrong, also known as “Juju Frass,” of Taurus Drive, Gregory Park, St Catherine. The victim, 45-year-old Damion Lawrence, known locally as “Trainer” and a taxi operator from Eltham Park, Spanish Town, St Catherine, died after sustaining multiple stab wounds.
Police reports indicate that the incident occurred around 6:15 pm on July 25, 2025, following an argument between Armstrong and Lawrence. Lawrence was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Following the incident, Armstrong surrendered to the Portmore police in the presence of his attorney. He has since been charged with murder, and his initial court appearance is being scheduled.
