Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica – A 28-year-old music producer from Spanish Town, St. Catherine, has been charged with firearm-related offenses following the seizure of a pistol and ammunition in Montego Bay.
Shaquille Hudson, of French Street, was taken into custody on Thursday after police discovered a Taurus 9mm pistol and two rounds of ammunition on his person.
According to reports from the Montego Bay police, officers acting on information regarding a stolen motor vehicle located a vehicle at a car wash on Market Street at approximately 2:30 PM. Hudson was observed standing near the vehicle.
During a subsequent search, officers reportedly recovered the firearm from Hudson’s waistband. He was immediately taken into custody and has since been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
