Popular St Ann Taxi Driver Murdered, Crime Stop Seeks Information

St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – St Ann Taxi Driver Murdered: a popular ‘robot’ taxi driver who plied the St Ann’s Bay to Lime Hall route was shot and killed in St Ann’s Bay early on Friday morning. His body was found inside his motorcar. It is presumed that after being shot he tried to drive himself to the hospital but ultimately crashed into a wall.

Dead is  42-year-old Pete Germaine McKoy of Lime Hall in the parish of St Ann.

Reports are that a group of residents in St Ann’s Bay witnessed a green Nissan motorcar crash into a wall along Church Street, on Friday, January 19.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, McKoy was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car.

He was taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations revealed that McKoy was shot at a different location and he was trying to drive himself to hospital when he became unconsciousness and crashed his vehicle into the wall.

Further investigation continues.

Crime Stop officers are asking for assistance in this murder.
