Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s news) – Seven Arrested for Illegal Petrol Sales: Seven men were arrested when a Joint Military Team uncovered an illicit petrol sale operation and seized approximately 5,000 litres of gasoline in Montego Bay, St James on Friday.
Reports are that about 2:00 p.m., in the course of a special operation along Bay Road and Pimento Way, the team noticed several men carrying out the illegal petrol trade from makeshift gas pumps.
The Team confronted the men and seized 50 barrels containing petrol along with $200,000.

The security forces also removed several motor vehicles at the location, which the identities of the owners could not be ascertained.

The seized petrol has a street value of approximately $750,000.
The police have withheld the identities of the men pending charges being laid against them for breaches of the Petroleum Act.
