St Ann Police Searching for Suspect in Connection with Mechanic’s Murder on Sunday

Jamaica Crime News: The St Ann police say they are now in search of one man who they believe can assist them in their investigations surrounding the shooting death of a mechanic in the parish on Sunday afternoon,  August 19th.
The police say they cannot release a name for the man who is been sought at this time,  but he is wanted in  Ryan Samuels of Claremont Street,  in Run-Away Bay,  St Ann.
Reports by the Run-away  Bay Police are that about 3:30 pmon Sunday,  Samuels and two other men were sitting in his yard having a conversation when they were ambushed by a man armed with a handgun.
The gunman opened fire hitting Samuel’s to his upper body,  before escaping in the area on foot.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded mechanic was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A total of 24 persons have been murdered in the parish of Trelawny since the start of the year.
