St Ann Police Constable Escapes Death before Car Explodes

St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A Police Constable attached to the Brown’s Town Police Station in the parish of St Ann, narrowly missed being killed on Monday night, after the car in which he was driving met in an accident and burst into flames.
Reports are that shortly after 11:45 p.m. on Monday, the officer was traveling in his Toyota Mark X motor car towards Discovery Bay, from the directions of St Ann’s Bay.
On reaching a section of the roadway, he lost control of the vehicle which collided into a parked truck and immediately caught fire.
The officer somehow managed to jump from the vehicle before it exploded and was consumed by fire.
He escaped with injuries and was later transported to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital where he was treated.
