St Ann Couple Charged After Firearm and Ganja Seizure in Runaway Bay

Runaway Bay, St Ann — A St Ann couple was arrested and charged following the seizure of an illegal firearm and ganja during a police/military operation in the Bellaire Housing Scheme on Sunday.

The suspects, 46-year-old Omar Henry, also known as ‘Smokey,’ a wood carver, and 34-year-old Stacey Allen, also known as ‘Chi Chi,’ a shopkeeper, face charges of possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and possession and dealing in ganja.

During the search, authorities discovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol with three cartridges and eight pounds of ganja. The couple remains in custody as their court date is being finalized.
