Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: St Ann Bus Operator Charged – 51-year-old Neville Phillips, a bus operator who was recently charged with in connection with the traffic accident which resulted in the death of 60-year-old American Tourist, Mark Johnson was granted bail in the sum of $500,000 when he appeared in the St Ann Parish Court on last Friday, March 15.
Reports are that about 1:45 p.m. on March 11, Johnson who arrived in the island on a cruise was walking along the roadway in Ocho Rios with his wife, when he was mowed down by Phillips who was driving a passenger bus.
Johnson was rushed to hospital where he died from injuries he received in the crash.
Phillips is booked to reappear in court on Thursday, April 4, when he will be sentenced.
