Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The Westmoreland police say they have now taken two suspects into custody, in connection with the murder of a tour bus operator, who was shot and killed in White Hall, Negril, Westmoreland on Wednesday, March 13.
The investigators say the names of the two suspects are being withheld pending further investigations, but they are presently being questioned in connection to the murder of 35-year-old Akeino Saffrey, also of a Westmoreland address.
Reports by the Westmoreland police are that about 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Saffrey was standing beside his Toyota Hiace minibus in the vicinity a tour bus stand in White Hall Negril, when he was approached by a lone gunman.
The armed man opened fire hitting the tour bus operator multiple times to the regions of his upper body, before making his escape on a waiting motorcycle. Saffrey died on the spot.
The police were summoned, followed by which, the scene was processed and the victim transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
