St Andrew, Jamaica — A 35-year-old higgler from Patrick City has been charged following allegations that he failed to return a motor vehicle rented in December 2025.
The accused, Travis Wilson, is facing a charge of larceny of a motor vehicle.
Police reports indicate that Wilson rented a Honda Stream from a woman in St Andrew. At the end of the agreed rental period, he reportedly requested an extension for a few additional days. The vehicle owner granted the extension.
Investigators allege, however, that Wilson did not return the motor car within the revised timeframe and failed to make payment for the additional days the vehicle remained in his possession.
After repeated attempts to reach him by telephone proved unsuccessful, the complainant reported the matter to the Half-Way Tree Police.
On Tuesday, February 17, lawmen intercepted the vehicle in Portland. Wilson, who was reportedly behind the wheel at the time, was taken into custody. He was later charged following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney.
A court date is being finalised as investigations continue.
