Buzz Rock, Clarendon | August 5, 2025 – McKoy’s News
A cloud of mystery hangs over the Effortville community in Clarendon after skeletal remains were discovered in a remote section of Buzz Rock on Tuesday. However, up to late evening, authorities were unable to confirm whether the remains are human.
Reports reaching McKoy’s News are that around 11:30 a.m., lawmen attached to the May Pen Police were conducting a targeted operation in the rugged terrain when they stumbled upon the chilling find.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has confirmed the discovery but noted that challenging terrain conditions have delayed the recovery process.
Sources say that forensic teams and the fire department were unable to retrieve the remains due to the inaccessibility of the location. As a result, a proper identification to determine whether the bones are human or animal has not yet been made.
The area has since been cordoned off as investigations continue.
Residents in the wider Effortville area have been left on edge, with many questioning the origin of the remains and whether foul play is involved.
The Clarendon police are expected to return to the site with specialized equipment to assist with retrieval and further analysis.
