Six Cuban nationals are in police custody after reportedly entering Jamaica illegally by boat on Monday night.
According to the St James police, the group was intercepted at Harvey Beach in Coral Gardens, St James, around 7:00 p.m.
The police say the relevant immigration authorities were subsequently notified.
The circumstances surrounding the group’s arrival in Jamaica are being investigated.
