Sandy Bay, Hanover: A tragic road accident in Sandy Bay has resulted in the death of 25-year-old Tagmar Cunningham , popularly known as “Shampoo,” a resident of the Montpelier in Sandy Bay.
The incident occurred late Friday night, August 16th, shortly before midnight, in front of a popular local bar along the Sandy Bay Main Road.
According to eyewitness reports and police information, Shampoo had been inside the bar earlier in the evening and had stepped outside, standing near the back of his parked black Land Rover. As he stood by the vehicle, a white motor car traveling along the roadway in the direction of Lucea collided with Shampoo and his vehicle. The impact of the collision caused Shampoo to be pinned beneath the rear section of his Land Rover.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but tragically, Shampoo succumbed to his injuries almost immediately, dying on the spot. The severity of the accident left no chance for survival, and bystanders could do little to assist.
Local residents and friends of Shampoo have expressed shock and grief at the sudden loss. He was well-known in the community, and his death has sent waves of sadness throughout Sandy Bay and the surrounding areas.
