The Coral Gardens police in St. James are investigating a shooting incident in Seaview Heights, Flankers, on Friday, which left an 18-year-old man nursing gunshot wounds.
Reports indicate that the man, known as ‘Shabba’, and a nine-year-old family member were walking along a section of Seaview Heights when they were ambushed by armed men who opened fire on them.
‘Shabba’ received gunshot wounds to his upper body, while the child managed to escape and report the incident to the police.
The wounded man was rushed to Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was treated and admitted in serious condition.
