Superstar rapper Sexyy Red is facing a new legal battle that could complicate her interactions with her child’s family. Her child’s grandmother, Nicole Barnes, has filed a lawsuit alleging that Sexyy Red incited her fans to attack her at her home.
According to legal documents filed on Monday, Barnes claims that Sexyy Red shared her address on social media in December 2024, issuing a call to her large following to “kick in the door” of her Hazelwood, Missouri home and cause harm to her and her family.
Barnes states that she took the threats seriously enough to relocate from her home due to safety concerns. However, she claims she has been unable to find affordable housing since the incident.
The mounting stress from the alleged incident has led Barnes to seek therapy and express ongoing fears for her safety.
As a result of these alleged actions, Barnes is suing Sexyy Red for assault and infliction of emotional distress. She is seeking over $5 million in damages from the “F My Baby Dad” rapper.
The lawsuit adds another layer of legal entanglement for Sexyy Red, whose public profile has grown significantly in recent years. The allegations, if proven true, could have significant repercussions for the rapper and her relationship with her child’s family.
