Police in St Thomas have detained a teenage security guard following the recovery of ammunition during a targeted operation on Saturday morning.
Law enforcement officers carried out a snap raid around 10:45 a.m. in the Stilt district, located near Port Morant. During the exercise, the teen was intercepted and searched by the police team.
Authorities reported that 14 rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition were found in his possession. He was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of illegal possession of ammunition.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with the Morant Bay Criminal Investigation Branch leading the probe.
