Authorities in St Thomas are investigating the sudden passing of a 37-year-old security guard who reportedly became ill at his residence in the early hours of Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Brown of Phillips Field in Yallahs.
Police reports indicate that at approximately 1:30 a.m., Brown returned home when he reportedly fell ill and collapsed. He was subsequently assisted and transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital for medical attention.
Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Morant Bay police have since launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
