Security Driver Arrested in Connection with $15 Million Beryllium Heist on Waterloo Road

St. Andrew, Jamaica — A 32-year-old security driver has been arrested by the St. Andrew Central Police in connection with the daring theft of over $15 million from a Beryllium armoured truck last Saturday.

Reports are that the incident occurred on Saturday, October 11, 2025, during a scheduled cash collection at the MegaMart store on Waterloo Road.

It is alleged that following the pickup, the driver fled the scene with the funds. The police subsequently launched an investigation, which led to the suspect’s arrest earlier this week.

Investigators are continuing their probe into the multi-million-dollar heist, as efforts are underway to recover the stolen cash.
