MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The search for missing Manchester schoolboy Jayden Smith has intensified, with authorities now focusing on the area surrounding his home in Wales, Newport, Manchester.
Jayden’s guardians, Ann-Marie Thompson and Omar Thompson, expressed relief at the renewed search efforts, but also shared their distress over persistent rumours and threats linked to the boy’s disappearance.
Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Specialized Operations, the canine unit, the missing persons desk, and the Newport police are combing the area in hopes of locating Jayden.
Jayden was first reported missing two weeks ago, prompting widespread concern in the community.
