Hanover Most Wanted Sadam Mullings Fatally Shot in Westmoreland

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Hanover Most Wanted Sadam Mullings Fatally Shot: A man who the police had listed on Hanover and Jamaica’s list of Most Wanted men, was fatally shot when he engaged members of a joint military team in a shootout in Westmoreland on Saturday morning, July 22.

The alleged gunman has been identified as, Sadam Mullings, who frequents the Green Island and Elgin Town areas of Hanover.

Reports by the police are that about 10:45 am on Saturday, members of a joint military team acted upon intelligence and carried out an operation in Lucea where a man believed to be Mullings was spotted.

Sadam Mullings Fatally Shot

The accused who was armed, reportedly fired upon the police and sped away from the area. A daring chase and gun battle ensued up into the White House area of Westmoreland.

On reaching a section of White House, the team of officers was joined by the Westmoreland police and the alleged gunman got himself caught in a crossfire.

Mullings reportedly again fired at the police, the fire was returned and he was fatally shot.

A 9mm semi-automatic pistol loaded with several live rounds was taken from him.

Investigators stated that  Sadam Mullings was second in command for the ruthless One Link Gang which operates out of Elgin Town in Lucea, Hanover.

He was being sought for several murders and shootings in and around Hanover including the recent shooting of Denton Barwise in Green Island.

Several months ago Mullings was cornered by the police in Lucea but managed to shoot his way out. He fled the parish, went to a house in St Ann and the police got information of his whereabouts.

A joint military team went in search of the wanted man but upon reaching the premises in St Ann, they came under heavy gunfire. Several lawmen nearly lost their lives when Mullings reported tossed several bombs at them before making his escape.

Mullings is the second high profile gang leader from the parish of Hanover to be fatally shot in the past few weeks.

A team from INDECOM is now carrying out investigations into this latest fatal shooting.
