U.S. intelligence officials say Russia has shared sensitive information with Iran that could enhance Tehran’s ability to target American warships, aircraft and other military resources stationed across the region.
Two officials familiar with the intelligence assessments confirmed the development, marking the first known sign that Moscow may be directly inserting itself into the ongoing conflict.
The disclosure comes as U.S. President Donald Trump declared Friday that negotiations with Iran would not proceed unless Tehran agrees to unconditional surrender.
Meanwhile, fighting intensified across multiple fronts. Israeli military aircraft carried out heavy bombardment in Beirut and Tehran, while Iran responded with a fresh round of retaliatory strikes aimed at Israel and Gulf nations hosting U.S. forces.
Casualties continue to mount as the conflict escalates. Reports indicate that at least 1,200 people have been killed in Iran, more than 200 in Lebanon, and over a dozen in Israel. The United States has also confirmed the deaths of six service members.
The situation remains volatile as regional and global powers monitor the deepening crisis.
