Montego Bay, St James (Mckoy’s News) — According to Jamaica’s Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett, the world’s second-largest cruise operator, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd is expanding in growth and has expressed interest in hiring more Jamaica to add to its service staff.
This announcement was reportedly made Royal Caribbean’s President and Chief Operating Officer Adam Goldstein in a discussion with Minister Bartlett on Friday, January, 26 in Miami, Florida, at the cruise line’s headquarters.
Bartlet quotes Goldstein as saying, ” Jamaicans represent the “very essence of Royal Caribbean’s service for flair, friendliness and engagement”. to which he responded that Jamaica’s tourism and labour ministries will work together to make sure that the cruise line’s desire to more Jamaicans hire will be realised in the shortest possible time.
The cruise line which owns Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises has 66,000 employed workers.
