MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A retired police sergeant tragically lost his life following a two-vehicle collision in Mandeville, Manchester, on Monday evening.
The deceased, identified as 60-year-old Robert Lambert, was reportedly driving a Nissan Tiida along Villa Road at approximately 7:00 p.m., when his vehicle collided with an Isuzu truck at the intersection with deCarteret Road.
The impact of the crash left the vehicles mangled and Lambert was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation by local authorities.
Lambert, who retired from the Jamaica Constabulary Force after serving for several years, is remembered by his family and friends as a dedicated and respected individual in the community.
