KINGSTON, Jamaica — Five people were shot and killed Monday evening on Waltham Park Road in Kingston. The incident reportedly occurred around 7:00 p.m., leaving the community shaken.
The Constabulary Communication Unit (CCU), the official information branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), confirmed the attack but stated that details surrounding the shooting remain unclear at this time.
Residents in the area described hearing a barrage of gunfire, which left many fearful and seeking shelter. Law enforcement authorities have since cordoned off the scene as investigations are underway to determine the circumstances leading to the deadly incident.
The names of the victims have not yet been released, and it is unclear whether the shooting was gang-related or a targeted attack.
