St. James, Jamaica (McN) – Jamaicans from far and near turned out in St. James, from all walks of life to celebrate with one of Jamaica’s “Godfather” of Reggae, Dr. Jimmy Cliff.

On Sunday, February 12, in commemoration of Black History and Reggae month, IRIE FM honoured Dr. Jimmy Cliff with a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the entertainment industry.

The ceremony was held at Jimmy Cliff’s childhood school, Somerton All-Age School in James. Jamaican’s went to the event to celebrate with Dr. Cliff, who also entertained them with  live performances.
