KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Reggae Boyz were unable to secure back-to-back victories against Trinidad and Tobago, playing to a 1-1 draw in their second international friendly at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Sunday evening.
The local-based squad of the national senior team fell behind in the 29th minute when Montego Bay United defender Josiah Trimmingham found the net for the Soca Warriors.
However, Jamaica managed to snatch a late equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time when Trimmingham inadvertently turned the ball into his own net.
The result comes after Jamaica’s 1-0 victory in the first match between the teams at the Montego Bay Sports Complex last Sunday.
With the friendlies concluded, head coach Steve McClaren will now shift focus to the Concacaf Gold Cup qualifiers against St Vincent and the Grenadines next month.
