Police in Hanover recovered a prohibited weapon during an operation in Green Island on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Officers attached to the Green Island Police Station conducted a targeted search at an abandoned house in the community as part of ongoing security activities.
During the operation, law enforcement personnel searched the premises and discovered the illegal weapon. The item was seized and taken into police custody.
Investigators say further inquiries are underway as the probe continues in Hanover.
