Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Prime Minister Andrew Holiness Launch Special Fund: After declaring the Zone of Special Operations in the community of Mount Salem on Friday, September 1, 2017, the Prime Minister toured the community on Sunday afternoon and later announced at a press conference that a Special Fund has now been set up to assist students in the Zone who are having challenges with back to school expenses.

This fund will also assist in getting them their relevant school Identification Cards and general back to school supplies. According to Prime Minister Holiness, this fund will be allocated based on information provided by Guidance Counselors who will be asked to communicate with the Zone Commander and the Social Agent who will then distribute on a needs-basis.

This he said is primarily for schools within the zone and this funding will also apply to students who are not in school but are identified by the Joint Force.
