Angry residents blocked the Boston main road on Friday morning in protest against the continued closure of the renowned Boston Jerk Centre.
The facility was ordered shut by the health department on September 6 after inspections revealed substandard sanitary conditions. Since then, meetings have been held to resolve the issues, but vendors are frustrated, claiming that the closure threatens their livelihood.
Police have since cleared part of the road for single-lane traffic.
