PORTLAND, Jamaica – Orlando Louden, also known as ‘Spragga’, was fatally shot at his home in Fairy Hill on Tuesday during a daring daylight attack by unknown assailants. Louden, who had previously survived at least four gun attacks, was targeted around 10:30 a.m. when residents heard a series of loud explosions and called the police.
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered Louden’s lifeless body on his veranda with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and face. He was pronounced dead by a doctor, and his body was subsequently taken to a morgue after the crime scene was processed by investigators.
Louden’s death comes three months after he contradicted a statement he allegedly gave to detectives from the Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) in Port Antonio during a court trial. Louden had previously been shot five times in a 2023 attack. During the trial, he provided conflicting testimonies and claimed to have no recollection of the shooting or the identity of the suspect on trial.
The Portland police have launched an investigation into Louden’s killing, seeking to understand the motive and identify the perpetrators behind this latest attack.
