Old Harbour, St t Catherine: Porridge Vendor Shot Dead: A porridge vendor was shot and killed while at his usual vending spot in Old Harbour, St Catherine, on Thursday morning.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. when loud explosions were heard in the area. The vendor, affectionately known as “Porridge Man,” was later found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have not yet established a motive for the fatal shooting. Detectives assigned to the Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing their investigations.
The killing has left residents of the Panton Lane community, where the deceased lived, in mourning as they grapple with the loss of a well-known community member.
