Arrested on November 2, 2024, by the Apopka Police Department, Carter has a legal history that includes a 2021 domestic battery case involving his spouse.
The circumstances surrounding this case are further heightened by the nature of the report, which was first raised at the victim’s school rather than from within the home. A newly obtained document from the Apopka Police Department provides details about the arrest of Cushane Carter. The police report, along with video from his first court appearance, reveals that the incident occurred at his home and involved the oldest of the four minors in his care. According to the report, the 13-year-old victim first reported the incident to a school staff member, who then alerted the police.
The victim also said she did not want Carter to get in trouble because he is a good man other than his lewd acts towards her.
CMR has denied all the allegations, claiming that he entered the room where the victim was to tell her to get ready for school and found her engaging in inappropriate behavior on the floor. He asserted that he told her to stop and return to bed.
Currently out on bond, CMR has been ordered to stay away from the home and refrain from contacting the victim.
