Manchester, Jamaica News: Policewoman’s Firearm Stolen – The Mandeville police in Manchester are searching for the person or persons who broke into a female police officer’s vehicle on Wednesday and stole her service pistol.
Reports indicate that shortly after 12:30 p.m., the officer parked her vehicle on Ward Avenue in Mandeville, placed her loaded service pistol inside her handbag, which she left in the vehicle, and entered an establishment to conduct business.
When she returned, she discovered that a section of her vehicle had been broken into, and her firearm, a Browning pistol fitted with a magazine containing 30 live 9mm rounds, along with other documents, had been stolen.
She immediately raised the alarm and reported the theft to her colleagues, who have since launched an investigation into the incident.
