Police Sergeant Collapses and Dies: A police sergeant was pronounced dead at the hospital just minutes after he complained of feeling ill at the Half Way Tree police lock-up in St. Andrew on Tuesday.
The deceased officer has been identified as Sergeant Christopher Gordon.
Reports indicate that Sergeant Gordon, who was assigned to the Halfway Tree police lock-up, complained of feeling ill and was later found unresponsive.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he passed away while being treated.
The police High Command has since sent condolences to Gordon’s family and close friends, describing him as a dedicated worker in the police force.
