Police Seize Ammunition and Magazines in Nannyville Operation

ST. ANDREW, Jamaica – Members of the St. Andrew Central Operations Team seized ammunition and magazines during a routine foot patrol in the Nannyville area earlier today.

The incident unfolded at approximately 10:45 a.m. when officers observed a group of men gathered along Oral Path. Upon spotting the police, the men quickly fled the scene on a motorcycle, discarding a black bag as they escaped.

Upon retrieving the bag, police discovered it contained:

  • One 9mm round
  • One 9mm magazine
  • Seven rounds of 7.62 ammunition
  • One AK-47 magazine

No arrests have been made in connection with the discovery.

Law enforcement officials have stated that investigations into the matter are ongoing. Residents with any information are encouraged to contact their nearest police station.
