Police Say St James Woman Found Murdered is Believed to have been Kidnapped from her Bed

Jamaica Crime News, St James: Detectives attached to the Freeport police station in the parish of St James have reported that based on investigations, they have strong reasons to believe that the 25-year-old woman who was discovered with her throat slashed in bushes in Orange District on Saturday, June 9, was kidnapped while asleep in her bed.

The police further stated that, despite the fact that the partially decomposed body of the female was discovered nude and only in her underwear, they also believe that she was not sexually molested.

Kimone Campbell, otherwise called “Kim” of Sign Orange, was reported missing on Tuesday, June 5.  Campbell was last seen at her home in Orange on the afternoon of Monday, June 4. The following day, family members discovered that she was missing and a report was made to the police.

On Saturday afternoon, a resident of Orange community stumbled upon her partially decomposed body which was also partially nude in bushes and alerted the police.

Upon arrival, the victim was discovered lying on her back. The lawmen observed that Campbell had multiple stab wounds to her upper body and her throat slashed.

The scene was processed and Campbell’s body later removed and pronounced dead at hospital.
