Police Release Identities of Four Persons Murdered in Kitson Town, St Catherine

Latest Jamaica News, St Catherine(McKoy’s News): Four Persons Murdered in Kitson Town The St Catherine police have released the identities of the four persons shot and killed by gunmen, who went on a shooting spree at sections of Kitson Town, on Tuesday night December 10.

Those killed have been identified as 67-year-old Gladstone Grange, a truck driver of Spring Gardens, 49-year-old Patricia King of Dover district, 46-year-Dennis Pryce, otherwise called “Ninja” also of Dover district, and 38-year-old Marcus Whyte, of Cherry district.

Five other persons who were shot and injured in the same incident, are presently at hospital in serious condition.

Following the shooting, the Minister of National Security, Dr. Horace Chang, reported that the attack in Kitson Town is gang-related, and also that criminals who cannot get to other persons with whom they have disputes, resort to taking revenge on their close family members.

Reports by the police are that about 9:25 p.m., the nine victims were at two business establishments in Dover Square, Kitson Town, when armed men drove to the community in a motor car.

The men opened fire on both establishments, hitting all nine persons, before making their escape from the community.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the victims were transported to hospital, where Grange, King, Pryce and Whyte were pronounced dead, and the five other victims admitted in serious condition.
