St Ann, Jamaica – Detectives in St Ann are working to identify two men who were found shot to death in a gully off the Dunnsville Main Road, just outside Ocho Rios, on Saturday night, September 13.
Reports from the police are that about 11:00 p.m., residents heard explosions sounding like gunshots and summoned lawmen. On arrival, officers discovered the bodies of two males lying in a gully with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The men were transported to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Investigators say the area where the bodies were found is remote and isolated from major communities. Early indications are that the deceased may not be from the parish and could have been on a criminal mission that went awry.
As of Monday morning, the men had not been identified. Police provided the following descriptions:
- Body 1: Dark complexion, slim build, about 182 cm (6 ft) tall; dressed in a black hoodie, jeans, and black shoes; sporting a Rastafarian hairstyle.
- Body 2: Dark complexion, slim build, about 182 cm (6 ft) tall; dressed in a black hoodie, blue jeans, black shoes, and wearing a latex glove on the right hand; sporting a plaited hairstyle.
The St Ann police are urging anyone with information to contact them or call Crime Stop at 311 as investigations continue.
