Police in the Kingston Western division are investigating the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man on Tuesday night.
The victim has been identified as Chaevon Peters, an unemployed resident of Greenwich Park Road in Kingston.
Reports indicate that around 9:20 p.m., Peters was along a section of the roadway known as ‘Havana’ when he was approached and shot by unknown attackers.
He was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have not yet identified a motive for the killing. The Denham Town Criminal Investigations Branch is leading the probe.
