Police Officer Stands Trial for The Murder of His “Boo”

Kingstom, Jamaica (McN) – To serve and protect was not on this Police officer’s agenda. He is accused of murdering his girlfriend over a loan he borrowed from her and did not want to repay.

Corporal Andrew Anderson who is out on J$600, 000 bail, appeared before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court this past Friday to answer charges of murder.

Anderson was arrested and charged last month with the alleged murder and conspiracy to commit murder, in the shooting death of Carol Matthews – three (3) years ago, who lived in Portmore, St. Catherine then.

Reports are that Anderson, who was stationed in Portmore, allegedly plot the murder of Matthews, while he and the victim were involved in a romantic relationship.

Allegations are that Matthews loaned Anderson J$500,000, which he refused to repay, and when she insisted that he repay her the money he hired someone to kill her, who hired another hit-man.

Matthews was reported missing, her car was discovers along the roadside in Portmore – the body of Carol Matthews was recovered from it.
