A team from the St Catherine North police division has launched an operation in Glengoffe as part of ongoing investigations into the disappearance of a woman from the community.
Senior Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, head of the division, confirmed that the operation is being conducted at a location where investigators believe the woman may be found, based on information gathered.
The woman has been missing since September 28.
It is understood that a relative reportedly confessed to police late last night, admitting involvement in the woman’s disappearance and providing details about her whereabouts. This confession has prompted the police to act swiftly and initiate the operation.
More updates are expected as the investigation unfolds.
