Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Police Lack Resources: Chairman of the Police Civil Committee, Lee Bailey,  told our news team that despite the State of Emergency being imposed on the parish of St James,  the officers within the force are still working with limited resources.

According to Mr Bailey, the police are unable to function against criminals within a number of these troubled communities due to lack of resources.  He clearly stated that the police are being outgunned by the criminals who are also more mobile than the police.

Bailey stated that, as the Chairman of the Police Civil Committee, he thinks the police will be more able to function within the areas of the State of Emergency if they have the proper resources.  He calls on the government to ensure that equipment must be given to the police at a great cost, to avoid an even greater cost tomorrow.

He firmly stated that it is time the relevant authorities stop pinching pennies to supply the security forces.
