Police Investigating Suspected Drowning in Spanish Town

St. Catherine, Jamaica – A police investigation is under way following the suspected drowning of a woman near the Port Henderson main road in Spanish Town, St. Catherine on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Diva Wallace Harvey, a resident of Lime Tree in the parish.

According to reports, around 8:30 a.m., passers-by discovered the body of a woman floating in a canal and immediately alerted the authorities. The police responded, examined the scene, and removed the body.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
