Clarendon, Jamaica: Victims Identified in Clarendon Shooting – Police have identified the eight people who were killed in a series of gun attacks on Sunday night in Clarendon.
Among the victims are Kavel Daley, 27; Lawrence Francis, 50; Diamond Bennett, 20; Aiden Bartley, a seven-year-old student; Errol Stewart, 58; Jermaine Boothe; Courtney Messam; and a woman known only as Margaret.
The attacks began around 8:45 p.m. on Cherry Tree Lane, Four Paths, where gunmen in a white Axio motor car opened fire on a birthday celebration at a car wash, killing four people on the spot and three others at the hospital. The gunmen then targeted another gathering nearby, killing one more person before fleeing the scene.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey has condemned the brutal attacks, describing them as acts of terrorism intended to instill fear in the community. He assured the public that the police are dedicated to bringing those responsible to justice and are using all available resources to solve the case.
