Police have made significant progress in investigating the circulation of a disturbing video involving inappropriate behavior between a schoolgirl and multiple schoolboys.
Five of the eight boys identified in connection with the incident are now in custody, and authorities are working to locate the remaining individuals involved.
The public is being urged not to share the video, as doing so could further traumatize the victim and impede the ongoing investigation. Law enforcement has reminded the public that sharing explicit content involving minors is a criminal offense punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Gender Minister Olivia Grange and Education Minister Dr. Dana Morris Dixon have both condemned the incident, calling for swift justice and a stronger collective effort to protect children from exploitation. In a joint statement, they emphasized the need for vigilance and support in ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
“This incident highlights the urgent need for increased awareness and education on protecting our young people from harm,” Minister Grange stated. Minister Dixon added, “We will not tolerate acts of exploitation, and we stand with the victim in demanding justice.”
The police are continuing their investigations and are encouraging the public to cooperate fully to ensure that those responsible are held accountable. Authorities have also advised parents, schools, and community leaders to engage in conversations with children about the dangers of online exploitation and the importance of respecting others.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the police immediately.
