St Catherine, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Jamaica Constabulary Force is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Corporal Navado English, a well-respected policeman attached to the St Catherine North Division, who died from injuries he sustained in a deadly crash along the Linstead Bypass on Wednesday night.
Reports reaching McKoy’s News are that around 11:10 p.m., Corporal English was driving his private motor car along the roadway when it collided with another vehicle.
The impact left his car extensively damaged, trapping the officer inside. He was rushed to the Linstead Hospital suffering from serious injuries, but sadly, he died while undergoing treatment.
Corporal English, who was stationed at the Spanish Town Police Station, is being remembered as a dedicated and disciplined officer who served with passion and integrity.
Head of the St Catherine North Division, Senior Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, shared that the entire division is in mourning.
“He was a diligent and dedicated member who was always willing to get the job done. The division is deeply saddened by his untimely passing, and we extend sincere condolences to his family and loved ones,” SSP Nicholson said.
The St Catherine North Traffic Department has since launched a full investigation into the crash as colleagues, friends, and family members grieve the loss of another promising member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force
