Latest Jamaica News, Montego Bay (McKoy’s News): Police Charge 5-Person for Illegal Firearm Found at Railway Lane – Five persons including a teenage boy, who were arrested by the police in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, during a joint military operation carried out on Railway Lane in Montego Bay, St James, on Saturday, September 28, have now been charged.
They have been identified as 28-year-old Andre Rose of Sun Valley Road, 27-year-old Damion Lewis, Welder of Johns Hall, 29-year-old Damion Service of Croatia Mountain and Railway Lane, 43-year-old Christopher Forbes, Welder of Maroon Town and 19-year-old Shantae Johnson, student of Railway Lane.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, a joint military operation was carried out at a premises along Railway Lane.
During the operation a search was carried out of a blue bag which was found at the premises, and a Beretta 9mm semi-automatic pistol, fitted with a magazine containing nine live 9mm rounds of ammunition was found.
The five were charged on Wednesday evening with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
