St Catherine, Jamaica: Rape Charges – Fifty-nine-year-old Courtney Graham, the St. Catherine pastor charged with allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in 2018, was acquitted when he appeared before the St. Catherine Circuit Court on Thursday.
Graham was acquitted after the jury found inconsistencies in the testimonies of the complainant and a witness called by the prosecution.
Reports state that in November 2018, Graham, who was also operating a taxi at the time, reportedly picked up the student on her way to school.
Allegedly, he told the student he was going to a nearby service station to purchase gas but instead transported her to an isolated location, where he allegedly raped her.
Afterward, he reportedly went to buy gasoline before taking her home.
The child reported the incident, leading to Graham’s arrest in January 2019 and subsequent charges.
